El Fata, hailing form the Ivory Coast and residing in the UK holds the title track with Mary Jane and a plea to the government to “leave Mary Jane alone”. El Fata has been active in the UK reggae scene since arriving a few years ago working with the likes of Mad Professor as well as touring the country. This is El Fata in his sweet sweet singjay style and none can test, watch this man big tings a gwaan.

Soom T representing the home team steps up with “did you really know” in a lyrical style that turns to ruffer DJ chat, this is a Big tune that gets nuff requests. Soom T is in much demand from all different types of producers working with the likes of the Orb, T.Raumschmiere, Senser, Asian Dub Foundation, Jamie Lidell and Dj Maxximus to merely scratch the surface of her collaboration credentials. Soom T is a regular at all Europe’s big festivals such as Sonar and between touring and recording finds time to run her label Spinning Records.

Top Cat comes at dis ya one with the track Herbalist. The track pays homage to the Barrington Levy’s Murder (with Beenie counteraction and all!) Top Cat needs no introduction cutting his teeth at Saxon and Coxone in London as well as working with nuff junglists from Congo Natty to Shy FX. This is the first release from Top Cat with Mungo’s with others to come in the near future.

Brother Culture the original rasta MC is no stranger in the Mungo’s camp, having collaborated on the 2002 album Mungo’s Hi Fi meets Brother Culture, he has gone on to record and work with a barrage of reggae produces and artists worldwide as well as much work abroad. His hit track with Mungo’s – Ing soared to great heights featuring on Mr. Scruffs keep it solid steel mix cd and is constantly requested. The ING remix gives the vocal a whole new feel and brings your thoughts back to an 80’s dancehall session!
