Mungos Hi Fi, Scotland's number one Reggae dancehall sound-system, have been releasing hits since 2001 when their killer track Wickedness featuring Brother Culture, released on the dubhead label, first took the world by storm getting heavy plays by Jah Shaka and Iration Steppas.

Carl Meeks

1962, Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies. As a schoolboy, Meeks emulated the singing styles of top Jamaican musicians, and, determined to pursue a career in the recording industry, he realized that he would have to develop his own original style. In the mid-80s he auditioned with George Lemon who released his debut, "No More Secrets", which led to a series of singles. He also worked with other producers, including the prolific Hugh "Redman" James.

Mikey Murka first came to the attention of reggae fans worldwide way back in the the early 80's. Having grown up in Jamaica, Mikey moved to London as a teenager & began singing on the legendary Unity Sound. In the height of Reggae's 'digital era' in the 80's Mikey worked the dancehalls with fellow Unity Sound artists such as Kenny Knotts, Errol Bellot, Selah Collins, Richie Davis, Peter Bouncer, Demon Rocker & Flinty Rankin (the Ragga Twins) performing regularly alongside the likes of Coxsone, Saxon & other top sounds of the day.

Nafees is one of the freshest MC’s in the UK right now with a conscious lyrical style that does not disappoint.

Having performed alongside artists like Ms. Dynamite, Kano and Rodney P to state but a few through to supporting Snoop Dog, being showcased on 1Xtra, not to mention working with a host of quality producers up and down the country, Nafees is one busy man! His cut on Belly Ska is something different and something quite special, he blends a hip hop style seamlessly onto the riddim and it works a treat.

Brother Culture

Brother Culture

Brother Culture started MCing in 1982 for Jah Revelation Muzik sound system, toured in USA, Jamaica and Canada through out the 80s.

In 1991 he started to MC at London's Dub Club. Over the years has visited over 50 counties on the MC tip. At the moment he is real busy recording and can be found on : Dubhead , M Records, Roots Garden, Systen Error, Flex label, Dragonfly and LSD records and has made big ground working with Manasseh over the past five years.

Mungo's Hi Fi meets Brother Culture was released on Dubhead in 2002.

Black Champagne was born in kingston jamaica in the 70's. where he developed his tastebuds for the music, at the tender age of 11 BC's talent in dancing singing and songwriting ability, was clear to see. This talent with a burning desire to suceed, as help BC become the formidable force he is today in all form of music, now in a career that stem over a decade and a half black champagne is a time spent artist, from the back street and ally to King Jammy's over the bridge to Black Scorpio cross the road to Bobby Digital.

Marga has been involved in music from an early age. Over the years he has recorded with producers such as Jazwad, Ruffcut, Reality Shock & Mungo's Hi Fi & has toured extensively in Europe & America. Marga is most famous for hit tunes such as Walk like a Jamaican. With too many years in the business to count, Marga is still going strong & is currently working on a new album with Reality Shock Records.
